    Please use this form to submit .stl files to be printed at the L3HSDC. Refresh the page if you encounter any issues. Please contact l3hsdcprintfarm@gmail.com if you have any questions regarding your print.

  • 3D Print Farm Updates & Guidelines

    We have updated our print farm with new printers, so some submission options may have changed. Please review the following updates and guidelines before submitting prints:

    Printing Deadlines

    Class Projects: Any prints submitted after November 24th are not guaranteed to be completed.
    Personal Projects: Prints submitted after November 30th may not be completed before winter break.

    Submission Limits

    To help prevent backups in the print queue, we are introducing a submission limit. Please do not make more than 10 submissions per day. This applies to every type of project. Exceeding this limit may result in longer delays in receiving your prints.

    Multi-Part STL Files

    We will no longer accept STL files containing multiple parts arranged on a build plate. Please submit each part as a separate submission. Print-in-place models are exempt from this and will be accepted.

    File Scaling

    Please ensure that your files are submitted at the correct scale. Files will not be resized or scaled by print farm staff.

                              *Requires L3HSDC Approval

                  Materials Provided: 

                               PLA, PETG are available for everyone. 
                               Bambu Lab PA6-CF, By request for Senior Design and Research (may need to be provided)
                               ABS, Lightweight/Aero Materials are prohibited.
                               *Other Materials are available but may need to be provided. (contact L3HSDC staff)

  • *NOTE*: PLEASE ensure your .stl file is exported correctly with proper dimensions

    Please ensure that the file is exported in mm dimensions instead of inches. Circular features may not print correctly (they will show as low-poly), so please check your files before uploading. L3HSDC staff may deny a print request or reach out after submission if a print cannot be completed as submitted.

  • "I understand that I am expected to check the tracking form in order to know when my print is ready for pickup, and that an email will be sent out when my print is complete. I understand that my print will be discarded if not picked up within 2 weeks after the part complete email is sent."

    The tracking form can be found here, as well as the "L3Harris Student Design Center" page of the Florida Tech website. (Check spam folder for the "part completed" email as well.)
